Whittemore House Education
Education is prized at Whittemore House, and the salon’s intimate environment offers educators the perfect forum to work closely, teaching and mentoring the rising talent. Every stylist and colorist has had extensive schooling, and the educators on staff—Victoria Hunter, Larry Raspanti, Coby Alcantar, Charlie Regec and Jamie Cook—are committed to helping to further their craft for their peers at Whittemore and beyond.
Coby Alcantar’s educator background dates back to her first staff position at San Francisco’s Cowboys and Angels where she was a teacher for their in-house Apprentice Program. After starting at Bumble and bumble in 2000, she jumped straight into their education program as well. In her years at Bumble, Coby contributed to the foundation of what would become the Bumble and bumble University through cutting demonstrations, hands-on teaching and training, and curriculum development.

Whittemore co-owners, and former Bumble and bumble creative directors, Larry Raspanti and Victoria Hunter are considered two of the industry’s leading hair colorists and authorities on color. The pair of seasoned educators first learned the art of hair-painting in Paris more than a decade ago. Since then, they have mastered the technique, infusing the classic coloring method with their own signature elements. Raspanti and Hunter have toured the country demonstrating hair painting for other stylists—they highlight the core artistry and extreme versatility of the technique that allows for both natural and bold results. Along the way, they have become passionately devoted to spreading the word about hair painting and teaching their peers that it is truly the most modern way to color hair.

Whittemore House’s team of educators is available for seminars and hands-on demonstrations in cutting, styling and hair painting techniques, both in-house and at other salons around the country. For hiring rates and availability please contact Anna at anna@whittemorehousesalon.com.
