Originally from Cypress, California, Jamie Cook started assisting at her local hair salon while still a teenager. When she was old enough to enroll in beauty school, she learned the core foundation of geometric scissor cutting at Vidal Sassoon, before moving on to Bumble and bumble where she developed a mastery of razor techniques. Jamie credits her mentors Coby Alcantar and Dennis Ianni for encouraging her to push herself creatively, embrace the craftsmanship of hairstyling, and, occasionally, break the rules.

Jamie has been a constant presence backstage at New York Fashion Week since 2006 creating hairstyles for designers like Erin Fetherston, Zac Posen and Karen Walker. Her work has also appeared in Allure, Teen Vogue, Nylon, W, and Italian Vogue.

Jamie's on-going experience and education continues to propel her to the top of her field.
